Publication Ethics

To guarantee publication integrity, all parties, from authors, editors, and reviewers, to the journal management, must adhere to the Scientific Publication Ethics, which refers to the standards set by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

Author Ethics

  • Honesty, Transparency, and Comprehensiveness: Authors must present the research process and results honestly, transparently, and comprehensively, and properly document their research data.

  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must guarantee the originality of the manuscript and declare that the work is a result of their own thinking. All citations and references must be accurately and precisely listed to avoid plagiarism.

  • Redundant Submission: Authors must declare that the submitted manuscript is an original work and is not currently under review for publication elsewhere. Any manuscript proven to have undergone submission redundancy will be rejected.

  • Author Status: The primary author (corresponding author) must be competent in the relevant field of science covered by the journal's focus. The corresponding author acts as the main party responsible for all communication and problem resolution during the publication process.

  • Manuscript Errors: Authors are obliged to report any substantial errors in the manuscript, such as inaccuracies in names, affiliations, or citations, to the editorial office and submit a proposal for correction.

  • Disclosure of Conflict of Interest: Understanding and adherence to these publication ethics are important for authors to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure a smooth publication process.

  • Manuscript Withdrawal: Withdrawal of a manuscript after submission to the editorial office is not permitted, as the editorial process has allocated significant resources.

  • Manuscript Retraction: The Editorial Board has the authority to retract a published manuscript if it is proven to have committed serious violations of publication ethics, such as data fabrication, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or violations of research ethics. Retraction will be announced via a Corrigendum notice.

Reviewer Ethics

  1. Objectivity and Neutrality: Reviewers must uphold academic integrity by being objective, independent, and fair in every manuscript assessment, without being influenced by the author's background.

  2. Clarity of Reference Sources: Reviewers are responsible for verifying the credibility and accuracy of reference sources. Any finding of non-conformity must be reported to the editorial office for revision by the author based on the reviewer's recommendation.

  3. Peer-Review Effectiveness: Reviewers must respond to the review invitation and complete their review within 2 weeks. Time extensions can only be approved through confirmation to the editorial secretariat before the deadline expires.

Editor Ethics

  • Publication Decision: The Editor is responsible for ensuring a comprehensive, objective, and transparent review process as the basis for considering manuscript acceptance. The editorial board serves as the final selection panel in determining this decision.

  1. Publication Information: The editor must ensure that the manuscript writing guidelines for authors and other interested parties are clearly accessible and legible, both in print and electronic versions.

  2. Peer-Review Manuscript Assignment: The editor must ensure the reviewers and manuscript materials for review, and clearly inform the reviewers of the terms and process for manuscript review.

  3. Objectivity and Neutrality: The editor must be objective, neutral, and honest in editing the manuscript, without discriminating based on the author's gender, business affiliation, ethnicity, religion, race, intergroup relations, and citizenship.

  4. Confidentiality: The editor must maintain all information well, especially those related to the author's privacy and the distribution of their manuscript.

  5. Disclosure of Conflict of Interest: The editor must understand the scientific publication ethics mentioned above to avoid conflicts of interest with other parties, thereby ensuring a smooth and safe manuscript publication process.

Journal Manager Ethics

  1. Decision Making: The editorial board is responsible for establishing the journal's vision, mission, and publication policies independently and free from conflicts of interest.

  2. Freedom: The journal management must guarantee the autonomy of the work of reviewers and editors and protect the confidentiality of author identities.

  3. Guarantee and Promotion: The journal management is responsible for: (1) protecting copyright and financial transparency, (2) disseminating publication results, and (3) ensuring the benefit value of the content for the community.
